Course Description

Cognitive therapy can be a practical, vibrant, and interactive approach to psychotherapy that combines the technology and art of therapy. With a focus on the treatment of anxiety, this workshop will teach you straightforward interventions such as the empathic flip, scaling, identifying objectified and active emotions, and other techniques to easily identify and challenge faulty underlying assumptions and core beliefs. You will also learn the core motivators of client behavior and how to use cognitive restructuring to assist clients to shift from motivation based in fear, which leads to emotional distress, to motivation based on passion and desire.

Steven Sultanoff Ph.D.

has over 25 years of training in CBT and is a master cognitive therapist. He has taught over 300 continuing education workshops, and is currently writing an innovative book on CBT approaches for anxiety disorders

Registration Information

A continental breakfast, catered lunch, and afternoon snacks are included in the registration fee for all seminars.

The course fee is determined by the date of payment in relation to the course date:

  • Early Registration: If payment is received 3 weeks prior to the seminar date.
  • Regular Registration: For payments received by the Wednesday prior to the seminar date.
  • Last Minute Registration: For payments received the Thursday or Friday prior to the weekend of the seminar. Last minute registration is dependent on available space.

Cancellation Policy

There is a $35.00 processing fee, per seminar, for refunds requested by the Wednesday prior to the weekend of the seminar. After that time, there will be no refunds. If a course must be cancelled due to an unforeseen event (e.g., natural disaster, instructor illness), the seminar will be rescheduled. Participants will be credited to take the rescheduled course or another PPS seminar. No refunds will be given.
