Course Description

This seminar provides a comprehensive overview of clinical psychopharmacology for psychotherapists. The course focuses on mood disorders and anxiety disorders, with some time devoted to ADHD, OCD, PTSD, and severe personality disorders. Each clinical section addresses diagnostic issues, theories of biological etiology, evaluating medication response and side effects, and the interface with psychotherapy.

OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of this course, the participant will : (1) receive an update on new developments in the neurosciences that relate to understanding psychiatric disorders; (2) learn which medications should be considered for specific disorders and the reasons why; (3) develop better skills related to diagnosing psychiatric disorders; (4) Improve abilities to collaborate with psychiatrists and primary care physicians; (5) learn how to evaluate the outcomes of pharmacologic treatments.

Scoring

Score 75% or above on the test and you will receive a certificate indicating you earned CE credit. The date the test is returned is the completion date for the course. Orders are shipped within 2 business days of receipt.

Test Policy: Should you fail to obtain a score of 75%, you can take the test again at no additional charge. After that time, there will be a $20 fee for each re-test.
