Professional Psych Seminars - Continuing Education for Mental Health Professionals

Psychologists

PPS is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to offer continuing education for psychologists. PPS maintains responsibility for this program and its contents. Effective December 31, 2006, California psychologists can obtain 27 credits each license renewal cycle through independent learning (formerly called distance learning). Our online and home study classes qualify as independent learning.

Nurses

PPS is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 11823.

Social Workers

Professional Psych Seminars, provider # 1213, is approved as a provider for social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org, through the Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Professional Psych Seminars maintains responsibility for the program.

LCSWs and MFTs

PPS is an approved provider of continuing education by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, provider number PCE 5. These courses meet the qualifications for CE credit for LMFTs, LCSWs, LEPs, and LPCCs as required by the BBS. California LMFTs, LCSWs, LEPs, and LPCCs can now obtain all 36 credits required each license renewal cycle through interactive, electronic means. Our online classes qualify under this regulation. They may also obtain up 18 credits each renewal cycle through traditional home study, which we provide as well.

NCC

PPS is an approved provider (#5892) by the National Board of Certified Counselors to offer continuing education activities for National Certified Counselors. We adhere to NBCC continuing education guidelines.

Drug and Alcohol Counselors

PPS is approved by CAADAC, provider number 2N-97-346-1214.
