Professional Psych Seminars - Continuing Education for Mental Health Professionals

Psychologists

PPS is approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) to offer continuing education for psychologists. PPS maintains responsibility for this program and its contents. California psychologists can obtain 27 credits each license renewal cycle through independent learning (formerly called distance learning). Our on-demand classes qualify as independent learning. Also, 9 credit hours are required through live classes. Our live webinars count as live classes.

Florida Psychologists

Professional Psych Seminars, Inc. is an approved provider by The Florida Board of Psychology. Upon successful completion of a course, Professional Psych Seminars, Inc. will report to CEBroker the name and license # of the person who completed the course, and the date of completion.

New York Psychologists

Professional Psych Seminars is recognized by the New York State Education Department's State Board for Psychology as an approved provider of continuing education for licensed psychologists #PSY-0005.

Nurses

As an American Psychological Association (APA) approved sponsor, PPS's programs are accepted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

These courses can be utilized by nurses to renew their certification and will be accepted by the ANCC.

Every state Board of Nursing accepts ANCC approved programs except California and Iowa; however, PPS is also an approved Continuing Education provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing, provider number CEP 11823, which is also accepted by the Iowa Board of Nursing.

Counselors

NBCC

Professional Psych Seminars has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 5892. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Professional Psych Seminars is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.

Florida Counselors

Professional Psych Seminars, Inc. is an approved provider by The Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling. Upon successful completion of a course, Professional Psych Seminars, Inc. will report to CEBroker the name and license # of the person who completed the course, and the date of completion.

LCSWs and MFTs

Effective 7/1/17, the BBS no longer has its own approved providers. Rather, the BBS will recognize CE classes offered organizations approved by a few agencies, including ASWB, NBCC, and APA. PPS is an approved CE provider for all three of these organizations, meaning that any CE class you take with PPS will be approved by the BBS to meet your continuing education requirements. California LMFTs, LCSWs, LEPs, and LPCCs can now obtain all 36 credits required each license renewal cycle through interactive, electronic means. Our on-demand classes qualify under this regulation..

Marriage and Family Therapists

Florida Marriage and Family Therapists

Professional Psych Seminars, Inc. is an approved provider by The Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling. Upon successful completion of a course, Professional Psych Seminars, Inc. will report to CEBroker the name and license # of the person who completed the course, and the date of completion.

Social Workers

Professional Psych Seminars, provider #1213, is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) www.aswb.org Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved as ACE providers. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit. Professional Psych Seminars maintains responsibility for this course. ACE provider approval period: 5/15/2020-5/15/2023.
